I, a card-carrying
stan, have long wished to do a monthly favorites video in a similar style. If you have been reading my newsletter this year, you know that I’ve been recapping my months through posts titled Taking Notes. I discuss my media consumption, cite posts and articles and videos that have been inspiring me, talk about what I’ve been up to, and of course, link some recent purchases/favorites of mine. I’ve been really enjoying that format and will be continuing to post about the passage of time this way, but I also like the idea of whipping up a written component to some of my short-form videos, as well. So I’m starting with my June Favorites video! If you caught my Taking Notes from last month, you’ll see a lot of repeats, but I’m linking & mentioning some new things, as well. I think I can sum it up best by saying that Taking Notes will be more about how I spent my time, thoughts & feels, and community building, and my Favorites posts will be a spot where I can more or less peddle some links (affiliate, commissionable, or not!) to all of my readers, in a more short & succinct fashion!
